A look at the latest Newcastle United transfer rumours on Thursday, March 30.
Newcastle linked with a move for Barcelona's Ansu Fati
Newcastle United have reportedly 'listened carefully’ to super-agent Jorge Mendes as he prepares to move Ansu Fati on from the Nou Camp this summer. Sport claim the player’s agent has been ‘probing the market’ in recent months and made contact with the Magpies about a proposed deal.
The report claims Fati is expected to leave the La Liga giants this summer after his father and agent, Bori Fati, made explosive comments about the club and his situation. It's unclear whether the Magpies would sanction a move for the Spanish international at this stage, but additional reports claim there's an asking price in the region of €35million.
The 20-year-old, once dubbed the hottest prospects in world football, has struggled for minutes at the Nou Camp this season, playing 90 minutes on just one occasion. Manchester United are also reportedly keen on a move for the Spaniard, with reports in Spain claiming the Red Devils made a £134million bid for Fati back in 2020.
Mason Mount not on Bayern Munich's wish list amid links to Newcastle
Bild journalis Christian Falk claims Mason Mount is not on Thomas Tuchel's wishlist having taken over the reins at Bayern Munich in recent weeks. The Chelsea midfielder has been linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge this summer, with Newcastle United among those linked with a move.
Falk tweeted: "Mason Mount @ChelseaFC was not an issue in the talks between Thomas Tuchel and @fcbayern. The new coach wants to get an overview of the squad first.
"The midfield in particular is more than adequate. For further transfers, players would first have to be sold @BILD_Sport."
