Morocco star linked
Newcastle are monitoring a move for Morocco star Azzedine Ounahi, according to 90min. The 22-year-old has started every game of his country’s impressive run to the World Cup semi-final.
Several Moroccan players will likely have placed themselves in the shop window after their performance in Qatar.

West Ham United are also rumoured to be interested in the midfielder. Ligue 1 club Angers have Ounahi tied down until 2026, meaning he would command a considerable fee.
Zapata talk re-emerges
Italian outlet Calciomercato has linked Newcastle with Duvan Zapata. A seasoned Serie A veteran, the Columbian was linked with a move to Tyneside in the summer.
Zapata has endured a frustrating season, suffering a hamstring injury and finding himself in and out of the team. Atalanta sit sixth in the table - three points outside the Champions League places.
At 31, Zapata is not the long-term answer but could offer a solution as backup. Just 18 months remaining on his contract means Newcastle may tempt Atalanta with a cut-price fee.
Prem quartet chase Spanish youngster
The Magpies are among a host of Premier League clubs chasing Spanish wonderkid Ivan Fresneda. Manchester United, Arsenal, Liverpool and Southampton are also reportedly keeping tabs on the 18-year-old.
Continental outlet AS is suggesting English clubs are monitoring Fresneda, who broke through the Real Valladolid team this season. Kieran Trippier is the undisputed first choice at St James’ Park, with Emil Krafth and Javier Manquillo in reserve.
Dan Ashworth has recruited several young players to bolster the club’s academy since his appointment as sporting director. Could Fresneda be the next prospect to arrive on Tyneside?
