Newcastle United have already been told that Wolves captain Ruben Neves is going to the very top. Eddie Howe's side are reportedly interested in the Portuguese midfielder who has excelled since making the move to England back in 2017.
The 25-year-old has been a standout performer for Wolves in the Premier League but has been linked with the likes of Manchester United and Liverpool in the past. Neves, who was once valued at £70million, is out of contract at Molineux and is reportedly a target for Newcastle United.
Back in 2020, Neves was playing some of the best football of his Molineux tenure, sparkling in a 3-0 win over Everton back in July of that season. So much so, that Jamie Redknapp tipped him to go to the very top.

"It's a magnificent pass, he's a terrific player," Redknapp said on Sky Sports after Neves provided the assist for Diogo Jota's 74th minute goal to wrap up the clash. "I'm such a fan of Neves and the way he can just control the midfield.
"He can defend he can attack, he's so talented. He can do it at Wolves but I think he's going right to the top of the game, it's effortless for him."
Newcastle have hit the mark with almost every arrival since the new owners took over at St. James' Park, with every arrival boasting a resolute and professional attitude. Neves is someone that would fit the mould having broken onto the scene at Porto at such a young age.
Last season, Porto and Wolves team-mate Jose Sa told the Express and Star: “Ruben is a fantastic player, he’s amazing. He’s very young, only 24-years-old, so for me it is a pleasure to play with him again after playing together at Porto.
“Of course, every day he is better and he helps the team a lot.”
