Newcastle United chairman Yasir Al-Rumayyan has thanked the supporters after being made to feel so welcome as owners.
The PIF supremo says that he considers himself a fan and loves waving the black and white flags at matches at St James' Park. And in an interview with NUFC TV, he outlined his belief that the Magpies supporters are the best in the game.
The Newcastle United chairman said: "I would say to the fans, we have the best fanbase in the EPL (English Premier League) and potentially in the world. And I consider myself as a fan, not only the chairman or the owners' representative. I love the flags and I have been waving them, the fan engagement, I did it and I felt so proud."

The Newcastle chief feels that he can understand the emotional bond between the supporters and the club. He reflected: "You feel that you are part of a bigger thing, and this bigger thing has to be a good thing, a better thing than you are. This is the whole idea – we have to be, and belong, to something bigger than us, and that can add a lot of emotional value and happiness to our lives. That’s part of the magic of football.
“I love it. I wish that I could attend all matches. I would like to thank the supporters, the fans and the community from the bottom of my heart for all the support and feeling welcome to participate positively for all of us."
