Newcastle United supporters have taken to social media to praise the impact Kieran Trippier has made as he celebrates his one-year anniversary on Tyneside. The England international was the first arrival under the new regime and paved the way for the rest to follow.
Even when Trippier was out injured last year, the experienced right-back played a huge part behind the scenes as the Magpies battle bravely against relegation, with Eddie Howe giving him an important role behind the scenes. Supporters have been blown away by the mentality and quality of the 32-year-old, who has shown no sign of slowing down.
The vast majority of the black and white faithful believe Trippier is one of the best defenders to pull on a Newcastle shirt in Premier League era and one of the best signings of recent times.
