Newcastle United supporters issue Champions League concussion reminder after Loris Karius arrival

Newcastle United supporters have been quick to remind people that Loris Karius suffered from concussion in the 2018 Champions League final. The game would signal the end of his Liverpool career as he knew it, making two costly mistakes as Real Madrid went on to lift the trophy.

Loan spells away from Anfield couldn't resurrect his career, leaving the Reds this summer. However, injury to Karl Darlow has meant the Magpies are short of options between the sticks following Martin Dubravka's departure for Manchester United.

Eddie Howe's side completed the signing of the German international last week, but did not announce the arrival as a mark of respect following the death of Queen Elizabeth II.
