Newcastle United supporters have given their approval to a 'leaked' design of the 2023/24 home kit design. Images of the next edition of the black-and-white stripes circulated on social media on Monday, with the kit seemingly modelled by Bruno Guimares and Kieran Trippier.
Fun88's shift to the club's official Asian betting partner looks to have led to the removal of the familiar blue which has accompanied the traditional colours in recent seasons. If the design is later proven accurate, perhaps the biggest reveal from the new shirt would be confirmation of Sela as the Magpies' new principal sponsor.
Newcastle are set to land one of the most lucrative commercial agreements in the club's history following their qualifcation for the Champions League, and having negotiated an early release from their Fun88 deal. Sela were tipped as the frontrunners to replace the betting firm, although an agreement with the Saudi events firm will test the Premier League's new rules on related party transactions.
The black-and-white design has inevitably caused a stir on social media, with many questioning whether they are authentic or not. Here is how the Toon Army reacted to the 'leaked' design of Newcastle's home shirt for next season.
