Newcastle United supporters have mixed feelings about the proposed arrival of former Liverpool goalkeeper Loris Karius. The German goalkeeper is on Tyneside for a medical, following an injury to Karl Darlow.
Nick Pope has been in fine form for Newcastle and has been nominated for the Premier League August Player of the Month award, but with Martin Dubravka joining Manchester United on loan and Darlow's recent injury, Eddie Howe's side are now short of cover.
The 29-year-old was part of the Liverpool side that reached the Champions League final in 2018, but was deemed to be at fault for two of Real Madrid's goals. An incident that he struggled to recover from.

Loan spells at Besiktas and Union Berlin would follow, with Karius leaving Anfield earlier this summer after his contract expired.
Here's what Newcastle United supporters have had to say on his proposed arrival:
@Justincaruana98 said: "That was always going to come back to haunt us allowing Dubravka to leave. The first time we had two good keepers in years."
@HilkiaJacobs said: "The Dubravka move to Manchester didn’t make sense from the start."
@AdamFost3r tweeted: "Good keeper, just was hung out to dry after his mistakes in the Champions League final."
@Tynetakes said: "Makes the decision to get rid of Dubravka even more perplexing."
@AaronJay7 tweeted: "Not amazed by this but he’ll only be here until January so he’ll only be playing a handful of games if that."
@rossccore said: "He isn't a bad keeper, lad has been hung out to dry since UCL final, bit of confidence and he's a solid backup."
