Newcastle United's trip to Nottingham Forest on Friday, March 17 could see supporters affected by the latest bout of rail strikes. Members of the RMT union, who work for 14 train operators across the UK, will strike on 16, 18 and 30 March, and 1 April.
Any Magpies supporters who intend to travel the day before, or the day after the fixture, could see their journey to Nottingham impacted. A strike on April 1 will impact Manchester United supporters traveling to St. James' Park for the Premier League fixture.
The RMT says there will be "sustained and targeted" strike action over the next few months. RMT General Secretary Mick Lynch said: "Rail employers are not being given a fresh mandate by the government to offer our members a new deal on pay, conditions and job security.
