The Premier League has confirmed that Mike Dean will be the referee for Newcastle United's trip to Brentford on Saturday afternoon.

Meanwhile, Brentford have won just one of their last seven league games and could be dragged into a relegation battle if they don't improve their recent form.
A win for Newcastle would take them above their opponents in the table and it will give them a major boost in their pursuit of survival.

Nevertheless, Dean will take charge of a Magpies game for the third time this season after overseeing United's 1-1 draw at home to Leeds United in September along with a 3-1 defeat away at Liverpool in December.
Dean booked four players during the league contest against the Whites, before booking the same number in Newcastle's loss against Jurgen Klopp's side, including Ryan Fraser and Joelinton.
In actual fact, Newcastle's record with Dean at the helm is worrying, winning just twice in nine games.
United's last victory with the Wirral-born official came in November 2019 - a 1-0 success over Manchester United courtesy of Matty Longstaff's long-range strike.
The Magpies' other win in that time was when Joelinton's first-half finish earned three points at Tottenham Hotspur back in August 2019.
Dean, who first refereed a Newcastle game during a 4-3 success over Bradford City in the EFL Cup in November 2000, has taken charge of 19 competitive fixtures during the 2021/22 campaign, showing a total of 61 yellow cards and one red.
On Saturday, he will be assisted by Eddie Smart and Mark Scholes while Andy Madley will be the fourth official. Darren England will be the VAR, and will be assisted by Derek Eaton.
