Eddie Howe has revealed Newcastle United tried to get two deals done on transfer deadline day but will now focus their energy on the January window.
The big link for Newcastle throughout August was Watford's Joao Pedro who United resurrected talks with in the build-up to deadline day. Howe has now hinted that players who missed out on deals will still be watched and it is up to them to keep impressing Toon scouts.
Howe is pleased the window is now behind him and feels his squad can now settle down knowing some players have been assured of their future.
