Newcastle United's owners praised for doing their 'homework' when it comes to big decision

Newcastle United’s current owners have been praised for doing their ‘homework’ when it comes to the club’s supporters and decisions that would potentially cause anger amongst the fanbase.

Under the previous regime of Mike Ashley, it was often felt like the fans’ feelings were not taken into account when decisions were made. This was particularly felt with the renaming of St James’ Park to the Sports Direct Arena, something that happened without consultation.

The stadium - whether it be its name or potential relocation - is a big talking point among the fanbase. Co-owner Amanda Staveley has seemingly ruled out moving the stadium, opting to looking at expanding it, and while she hasn't ruled out renaming it at some point, she has spoken about consulting the fans before any such move would be made.
