Joelinton and his partner Thays Gondim have revealed the gender of their third child together - and St James' Park became was the perfect location for the special moment.
The couple were joined by their children on the pitch as they revealed the gender of the latest addition to their family. The family stood along the halfway line with a goal and the Newcastle United signage visible in the background.
A huge pink and blue balloon arch and decorative lights were also set up on the pitch to provide the picture perfect setting. As Joelinton kicked a ball into the air blue flares shot to the sky to signify that the couple were expecting a baby boy.
And the family jumped up and down and hugged one another, elated by the news.
The Newcastle United midfielder seemingly announced his girlfriend was pregnant with their third child during the club's 3-0 win over Leicester on Boxing Day.
The 26-year-old scored the Magpies' third goal of the match with a thumping header past Foxes goalkeeper Danny Ward before picking up the ball and putting it up his shirt, running towards a camera with his thumb in his mouth and making a heart with his hands.
Joelinton and Gondim officially announced they were expecting in a joint Instagram post the following day. Posting on Instagram, Gondim wrote a message to the Magpies player as well as a short message to their unborn child, along with photos of Joelinton's celebration, and some of the pair with their other two children.
The caption read: "When God chose you to be the father of my children, you gave me the greatest blessing of my life. I have no words to express my gratitude and happiness.
"You are undoubtedly the best in the world on and off the field!!! And to you my son, the heart of your brothers and the whole family is full of love waiting for you, come strong!!!"
The couple's St James' Park gender reveal has thrilled many fans who have taken to social media to offer their congratulations and express their joy at the chosen location.
NUFCblog.co.uk shared the gender reveal on their Twitter page prompting reaction from fans.One person wrote: "Got to be the best gender reveal ever."
Another added: "Brilliant by the club. Congratulations Joe and family." A third wrote: "Congratulations Big Joe and family!"
