Eddie Howe could be without two key midfielders as Newcastle make the trip to Elland Road next weekend. The Magpies are fresh off the back of a 2-0 defeat to Premier League title hopefuls Arsenal, who are just the second side to beat the Toon on home soil this season.
Newcastle were without academy graduate Sean Longstaff for the clash with Mikel Arteta's side and he remains a doubt to face Leeds United. The midfielder, who may not be a household name, has been one of the standout performers for the Magpies this season and is going under the radar.
The Magpies could also be without midfield enforcer Joelinton who limped off the pitch in the defeat to the Gunners. If the Brazilian is ruled out of the clash, it means Joe Willock and Bruno Guimaraes are the only two senior central midfielders, which could pave the way for Anthony Gordon or Elliot Anderson to come into the side.

Here's a look at the Newcastle United injury news in full.
Joelinton
The Magpies enforcer limped off the field of play in their defeat to Arsenal at the weekend. Neither club nor player has said anything about the extent of his injury but he looks to be a doubt for this weekend.
Potential return date: Unknown
Jamaal Lascelles - Calf
The Magpies' club captain picked up a calf injury last week and has been ruled out of the clash with Leeds this weekend. Despite not featuring heavily, the centre-half has been a mainstay on the substitutes bench this season.
He said: "I've picked up a calf problem which will probably see me out for five or six weeks. But I'll still be at every game, supporting the boys. It's a real shame, but I'm confident I'll have a speedy recovery."
Potential return date: End of season
Sean Longstaff - Foot
Longstaff picked up a knock in the win over Everton at Goodison Park and has been unable to train. The Magpies midfielder is set to see a specialist to determine whether he still has a part to play this season.
What Eddie Howe said: "We thought it was quite a standard injury - a bruise, now there may be a chance it's something a bit more serious than that, but we are in the dark at the moment."
Potential return date: End of season
Emil Krafth - Knee
The Swedish defender did his ACL earlier in the season and is set to play since the 3-3 draw with Manchester City.
What Eddie Howe said: "He's doing well. He's confident about his recovery. I'm not sure we'll see him in the squad before the end of the season, but what we do hope is that we can implement him back into training very lightly."
Potential return date: End of season
