Newcastle United's end-of-season international call-ups and how to watch them

A host of Newcastle United players will feature for their country's in the upcoming June internationals. Kieran Trippier, Bruno Guimaraes, Fabian Schar, Chris Wood and Elliot Anderson will all be involved in the international June action following the end of the domestic season.

Kieran Trippier returns to the England squad for their four UEFA Nations League games in June after missing out on Gareth Southgate's last two international selections due to injury. With no recognised left-back selected in the England squad, there is every chance that Trippier could be handed a starting berth by Southgate, who has previously deployed him on the left-hand side for the Three Lions.

England play four games in June. They will face Hungary home and away, Germany and Italy. Brazilian ace Bruno Guimaraes will also be in action for the Seleçāo in June for their international friendlies against South Korea, Japan and Argentina.

Defender Fabian Schar has also been named in Switzerland's UEFA Nations League squad. Switzerland will face off against the Czech Republic, Spain and Portugal home and away in June, with Schar likely to feature at the heart of the Swiss defence.

Chris Wood's New Zealand will face off against Peru and Costa Rica in June, with the Newcastle striker bidding to help the All Whites secure their place at the World Cup finals later this year. Peru will serve as the warm-up act, with New Zealand set to face Costa Rica in an intercontinental play-off for a place in Qatar.

Finally, Magpies starlet Elliot Anderson has been called up for Scotland's U21s squad ahead of their European Championship qualifiers against Belgium and Denmark. The 19-year-old has featured for Scotland at U16, U17 and U18 level but did play for England's U19s in March 2021 in a friendly.

England's June internationals will be broadcast on Channel 4. While Guimaraes, Wood and Anderson's games are not being broadcast in the UK, Schar's Swiss international fixtures will all broadcast across Box Nation and Premier Sports.
