Newcastle United players squash Anthony Gordon beef by welcoming winger from Everton

Newcastle United players appear to have reconciled their relationship with new boy Anthony Gordon. An official announcement confirmed the winger’s £45million arrival from Everton.

Earlier this season, Gordon was embroiled in an on-field row with Toon defenders Kieran Trippier and Fabian Schar. The ruckus angered Newcastle fans and had not been forgotten in the build-up to his big-money move.

However, it was all smiles as the 21-year-old met his teammates at the club’s Benton training ground. Eddie Howe and assistant manager Graeme Jones were two of the first people to welcome Gordon ahead of his medical.
