Newcastle United are set to get an £80million cash boost thanks to the Premier League agreeing a commercial deal with video game company EA Sports.
United were in the Premier League meeting on Friday and were briefed about the deal which is worth close to £500millon in total to the top-flight. One Premier League supremo is believed to have stated it could deliver £80million per year to top-flight sides.
The six-year deal has left Serie A and La Liga sides casting envious glances as they know that the Premier Leagye is a commercial monster in which other Euro leagues can't compete with. The six-year deal is another reason the likes of Barcelona and Juventus are pushing for a new European Super League.

Newcastle's stance on the European Super League hasn't changed
The Magpies remain in fierce opposition to the European Super League - regardless of what plan is dreamed up for the breakaway division.
That has always been the stance of co-owner Amanda Staveley who opposed the initial plans in the early months of the takeover. This was at a time in which Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester City, Manchester United and Tottenham initially wanted to join the new look Euro format.
Had that gone through the European Super League would have been a closed shop but A22, who are driving the project, are now proposing that teams would have to qualify. Either way, Newcastle are dead set against it.
Backroom staff move quickly to prevent squad concerns over family ticket allocation for Wembley
Eddie Howe has moved quickly to snuff out any concerns in the Newcastle squad ahead of the Wembley trip later this month. Howe joked on Friday that he had been bombarded with requests for tickets for the Carabao Cup final against Man United.
With players also getting a host of requests, the club moved to ensure players got a fair amount for family and friends. Last season Chelsea players received 24 tickets each for the final against Liverpool.
It is thought that Newcastle stars have been handed enough to ensure family and close friends will be there for the big day. And big-hearted Howe made sure that injured players have also been looked after for the big day.
