Dubravka recalled
Newcastle have recalled Martin Dubravka from Manchester United. The Slovakia international arrives back on Tyneside after activating a clause in his loan deal.
Dubravka will arrive back cup tied in the League Cup but clear to face Sheffield Wednesday should Nick Pope be rested.

Shearer blasts 'poor' finishing
Alan Shearer believes Newcastle were their own worst enemy against Leeds. Despite having 16 shots on goal, the Magpies blundered several opportunities to draw 0-0 with Jesse Marsch's side.

"It was a combination today of really good goalkeeping, some good defending but also some poor finishing from Newcastle, particularly in the second half," he said.
“It was one-way traffic in that in that second half, Leeds were hanging on. You’ve got to give them credit for that, Cooper defended really well. They (Newcastle) were creating chances, it will be a frustrating afternoon for Newcastle with the form they're in. But it's a really good point for Leeds."

Marsch on Toon physicality
Jesse Marsch has revealed that he set out to prevent Newcastle United from executing any "special plays" after the Leeds boss was struck by the "size" of the Magpies' players at set-pieces.
"Just look at the size of some of their players," he told reporters. "We started the game on defensive corner kicks with three players up high because we wanted to try to force them to adjust to us and not just be able to try some special plays, to use their big players, and that was effective.
Targett injury blow
The Magpies have been rocked by a fresh injury blow after Matt Targett was ruled out with an injury before today's game against Leeds.
The former Southampton left-back was not named on the bench and it has emerged he has been suffering with a heel injury. After the game, manager Eddie Howe said: "Matt Targett has a heel problem.
"I think he’s going to be out for a period of time, I’m not 100% sure how long at the moment. It’s a nasty injury."

Schar admits disappointment
Fabian Schar says the players are "disappointed" not to end the year on a winning note after their goalless draw against Leeds United. Newcastle dropped points for the first time since October and failed to register a seventh win on the bounce.
"We had enough chances," Schar told nufc.co.uk. "We should've won the game. Sometimes the ball doesn't want to go in the net and we are disappointed, especially at home. Last game of the year we wanted to keep up the winning run. But that's part of football and we have to be focused on the next game already. And also don't forget what we've achieved this year.
"When you see the game, the amount of chances we had, how much pressure, especially in the second half, we put on Leeds. We should've won the game, so definitely disappointing."
