Newcastle United train with Burnley in Portugal
Newcastle United continued their pre-season schedule with a joint training session with Burnley.
The Magpies trained at the Portuguese Football Federation’s ‘Cidade do Futebol’ complex near Lisbon on Saturday. The two clubs split their squads to play in two concurrent 11 v 11 sessions.
United played two evenly split line-ups against experienced and youthful Clarets sides respectively before switching opposition after 45 minutes.

Newcastle United recruit experienced sports lawyer John Devine
Newcastle United have recruited experienced sports lawyer John Devine, who works for Newcastle law firm Muckle LLP, to their legal team.
Devine has advised over 100 professional clubs on the establishment of community sports and education charities, including over two thirds of the clubs in the Premier League and Football League.
He was also named UK Lawyer of the Year in the Sports category at the annual Corporate Livewire Awards in 2014.
Popular former NUFC boss Glenn Roeder to be remembered with race day and online charity auction
Much-loved former Newcastle United manager Glenn Roeder will be remembered Newmarket Racecourse today at the Glenn Roeder Raceday which will raise funds for 'The Brain Tumour Charity'.
The card coincides with a silent online auction in which a host of incredible experiences are up for sale, with all money going to charity.
