Castellanos eyes Europe
Valentin Castellanos believes now is the time to make his move to Europe after impressing in the MLS. The New York City striker is one of a number of forwards linked with a move to Newcastle United this summer.
The Magpies are keen to provide quality and competition for Callum Wilson and Chris Wood up front. A move for Hugo Ekitike stalled last month and Newcastle are looking at a number of alternatives to bolster their front line.

Magpies ‘urged’ to sign Hudson-Odoi
Former Leeds United striker Noel Whelan has urged Callum Hudson-Odoi to join Newcastle United. Reports have linked the Chelsea winger with a move to the Magpies as Raheem Sterling looks set to arrive at Stamford Bridge.
Manchester City are expected to finalise the England international’s £45million departure in the coming weeks. Hudson-Odoi was struggling for game time before Sterling’s expected arrival – starting just 10 Premier League games last season.

Four miss Austria trip
Newcastle United have arrived in Austria as they prepare for a week-long training camp before facing 1860 Munich and FSV Mainz. However, a few first-team stars will miss out on the trip.
Javier Manquillo has been absent from first-team training since the squad returned earlier this month and is currently in his native Spain receiving treatment for an injury.
Ciaran Clark, Jeff Hendrick and Dwight Gayle also haven’t travelled as they edge closer to a move away from Newcastle.
