Wilson not content
Callum Wilson has warned that Newcastle have got “more to give” after the Magpies were "off it a little bit" against Brentford despite winning 5-1.
Newcastle moved up to sixth place in the table after putting Brentford to the sword at St James' Park last week. It was the first time Newcastle had scored five goals in a Premier League game since 2016 as the Magpies followed up a 4-1 win at Fulham with another convincing victory.
Scarily, the striker has no doubt that Newcastle can play even better as the Magpies prepare for Sunday's trip to Old Trafford to face Manchester United, who are one place above Eddie Howe's side in the table.

"Even though we scored five goals, our actual team performance wasn't where it's been the previous weeks," Wilson told the Footballer's Football Podcast. "I just think we were off it a little bit at the weekend. I think we've got more to go and more to give."

Isak injury update
Alexander Isak is out for the clash at Old Trafford on Sunday. Otherwise, Howe is close to a clean bill of health for the encounter against Manchester United.
When asked about Isak today at his Press conference, the manager said: "Alexander Isak is making progress but he's not available for this game. We've not picked up any new injuries."
Looking ahead to the Man United game Howe said: "We're going to try and attack it and get a positive result. They have outstanding individuals and a great manager.
"They're developing their style of play and philosophy. We have to go in with no fear and believe we can win. The performance levels have been very high."

Trippier’s World Cup chance
Kieran Trippier's chances of starting at the World Cup could receive a major boost, after reports that Reece James could be set for a lengthy spell on the sidelines. Chelsea boss Graham Potter has revealed that James will see a specialist over the weekend amid fears that his World Cup place could be in jeopardy.
Sportsmail have reported that James underwent a scan on a knee injury on Thursday, which showed he sustained ligament damage in Chelsea's 2-0 win over AC Milan in midweek. The report adds that he is likely to be ruled out for six to eight weeks, but Potter refused to jump to any conclusions.
"He is due to see a specialist over the weekend so, until we get that information, there's not too much else I can add unfortunately," Potter told Sky Sports News.

Howe candid on SJP
Howe insists he has no desire to see Newcastle leave St James' Park for a bigger stadium elsewhere on Tyneside any time soon. Tickets for home games at the 'Cathedral on the Hill' are like gold dust since the takeover 12 months ago, with questions being asked about either a stadium expansion or a new venue entirely.
When asked if his preference would be to stay at St James' Park, Howe responded: "Without a doubt. When I look around the city, you see the stadium at every turn.
"That's such a powerful thing and I wouldn't want to change that at all. If we can improve and enhance the matchday experience for supporters, we will try and do that in every way we can. But for me, it is our home."

Enrique hails Bruno
Former Newcastle defender Jose Enrique has hailed Bruno Guimaraes as one of the best players in the Premier League. A brace in last weekend’s 5-1 win against Brentford has national media - not just Toon supporters - purring over the Brazilian.
The Magpies staved off interest from Arsenal to sign Guimaraes in January and he has quickly become a firm fans’ favourite at St James’ Park.
“Bruno is one of the best players in the league, 100%,” he told Midnite. “I love him because he has all the ability but then he puts everything into it.
“You see lots of players with talent, but because they have that talent sometimes they don’t need to put everything in the game because they say I will make the difference when I have the ball. But, defensively as well, he works so hard.”
