Chelsea are open to allowing Christian Pulisic to leave Stamford Bridge before the end of the summer transfer window, Chronicle Live understands. The American attacker is one of many names Newcastle United are watching as Eddie Howe looks to bolster his Magpies side.
Pulisic has failed to hold down a regular first-team spot since joining Chelsea from Borussia Dortmund for £57.6m in January 2019. The 23-year-old has also had to settle for a place on the bench in the west London club's opening two Premier League fixtures this term.
Newcastle have enquired over Pulisic's availability after Amanda Staveley and Mehrdad Ghodoussi's trip to watch Chelsea on Sunday afternoon. Callum Hudson-Odoi, Conor Gallagher and Armando Broja are other Blues players on the club's radar.

Pulisic has publicly vowed to fight for his place in Thomas Tuchel's side after the arrival of Raheem Sterling. But with the 2022 World Cup fast approaching, the youngster wants regular game time as he prepares to lead his USA side into the winter showpiece.
"That's just life at a big club," Pulisic said about his lack of playing time. "We have great quality and [new signing] Raheem [Sterling] we're really excited about it.
"I'm still going to have to play hard and enter my position just like I did before. Nothing crazy. This is Chelsea. This is what this is, what you sign up for and this is the kind of club it is with the caliber of players that we have."
Chelsea are ready to sanction Pulisic's exit this summer as they prepare a mammoth spending spree at the business end of the transfer window. The club are plotting big-money moves for Anthony Gordon, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Frenkie De Jong and Wesley Fofana in the coming weeks.
Pulisic arrived in the Premier League with a big reputation after his exploits in Germany. But the former Borussia Dortmund star has struggled to hold down his place at Chelsea, with injuries hampering his progress in the Premier League.
"‘The sad thing is he [Pulisic] loves this club, teammates, and London.… puts his heart and soul into being a pro. Onwards and upwards my boy… big six months ahead," Pulisic's father Mark tweeted earlier this year.
Newcastle have also seen a bid for Watford striker Joao Pedro rejected. The Hornets are desperate to keep hold of their prized asset beyond the summer after selling Emmanuel Dennis to Nottingham Forest last week.
