More than 300 Newcastle United fans took to the River Thames in the hours before the game with Brentford boarding a boat that has been labelled the ‘Geordie Armada.’
With Newcastle at the Brentford Community Stadium, some decided to take in the sights of London via the river and were captured on video by enjoying the sunshine.
It’s not the first time United fans have taken to the capital’s river - back in 2019, a total of six boats were sailed down the Thames carrying 2,000 fans before the club’s game with Fulham.

The boat left Festival Pier at 11am - four hours before kick-off - and onlookers from many of London’s bridges watched on in amazement as hundreds of Geordies sang their hearts out in support of their club.
Toon fan Dan told Chronicle Live: "We were picked up at embankment at 11 am and were on the boat for two hours with 300 approximately on board.
"I’ve been to many away days but not sampled anything quite like that on a London away day, everyone in fine voice.
"It had the makings for a real head turner down the Thames! I’m sure many people who were passing the Tower Bridge and the Shard watching on while 300 Geordies were singing is something they’ve never seen before!
"An unbelievable experience and the result was just the icing on the cake!"
Newcastle would go on to beat Brentford two-nil thanks to goals from Joelinton and Joe Willock.
The win takes the Magpies up to 14th in the Premier League and leaves them unbeaten in the top flight in 2022.
