Here are your top Newcastle United headlines for June 3.
Szoboszlai admission
Dominik Szoboszlai has admitted that 'every kid' dreams of playing for a 'big club' after the Newcastle United target was again asked about his future.
Newcastle have kept a close eye on Szoboszlai, who has been directly involved in 22 goals in all competitions this season, as Eddie Howe looks to add at least 'one or two players that can make the difference'. The RB Leipzig attacking midfielder certainly fits that description and the 'elite' profile the Magpies are targeting this summer.
However, Howe has warned that Newcastle's summer budget is not as big as 'you want it to be' because of Financial Fair Play restrictions and the head coach admitted that rivals' ability to pay higher wages made it 'very difficult' to attract the 'very best players on the market'. It is important to stress, though, that Howe has never previously talked up Newcastle's spending power before the black-and-whites have made moves in the transfer market and the 45-year-old acknowledged that qualifying for the Champions League has 'given us a bit of a lift' financially.
It will be interesting to see, then, whether Newcastle decide to prioritise a big-money move for Szoboszlai, a younger international on the continent who has already played in the Champions League, or if Howe plumps for a Premier League proven player like James Maddison, who, while a little older, would be cheaper after Leicester City were relegated. Regardless, Szoboszlai is certainly aware of Newcastle's interest and when it was put to the 22-year-old that there were some 'rumours' about his future, the Hungary captain did not exactly shoot them down, which will give the Magpies further encouragement.

Maddison 'devastated'
James Maddison admits he has been left 'devastated' by Leicester City's relegation as Newcastle United mull over revisiting their interest. The Foxes playmaker enjoyed another fine campaign on a personal level, but was unable to prevent their demotion to the Championship.
Maddison is set to enter the final year of his contract at the King Power Stadium, and is one of a host of first-team stars expected to depart this summer. Caglar Soyuncu and Youri Tielemans have already confirmed they will leave on free transfers, while Harvey Barnes has also been linked as a potential Magpies transfer target.
Almost a week on from a dramatic final day in the Premier League, Maddison has taken to social media to open up on his emotions following Leicester's relegation. The England international is adamant each player has to accept responsibility for the 'failure' of a campaign, while calling for everyone around the club to 'stick together' in the face of the setback.

Levy 'embarrassed'
Daniel Levy and Spurs' 'embarrassed' officials showed their faces in the chairman's suite during Newcastle United's' 6-1 rout.
That is according to Peter Silverstone, Newcastle United's chief commercial officer, who watched as the Magpies put their supposed top four rivals to the sword at St James' Park back in April. The score line certainly did not flatter Eddie Howe's side, who blew fragile Spurs away from kick-off.
Jacob Murphy opened the scoring after just 61 seconds and Newcastle were not finished yet - far from it. Newcastle raced into a 5-0 lead inside 21 minutes following further strikes from Joelinton and Murphy and a double from Alexander Isak.
By the time the half-time whistle went, Spurs chairman Levy and chief commercial officer Todd Kline sheepishly made their way to the suite after accepting an invite from their counterparts at Newcastle. For Silverstone, it was an afternoon that was 'so embarrassing and so exhilarating' in equal measure.
