Newcastle United's Premier League fixtures for the 2023/24 campaign have been unveiled and it's a tricky start to the season for the Magpies. Eddie Howe's men face Aston Villa, Manchester City, Liverpool and Brighton in their opening quartet of games as they look to start with a flurry.
Newcastle also have the Champions League to worry about when the new season rolls around as the Geordie faithful prepare for memorable nights on the continent once more. The north east outfit will discover their group stage opponents at the end of August but know exactly when they'll be playing each game.
Fans can now start to plan around which domestic games will take place alongside their European exploits. For starters, Newcastle will face Brentford at St James' Park on September 16 before playing the first of six group stage games on September 19 or 20. A trip to Sheffield United then awaits on September 23.

Burnley visit Tyneside on September 30 just a matter of days before the second Champions League game. Newcastle will play West Ham United in the capital on the following weekend.
Another home game takes place before matchday three as Crystal Palace visit the north east before the October 24/25 European fixtures. A trip to Molineux awaits afterwards.
November is a tricky month for Newcastle as they face Arsenal (H) and Bournemouth (A) either side of a Champions League game on November 7/8. They must also play Chelsea and Manchester United at home in the same seven days as matchday five on November 28/29.
The final group game takes place on December 12/13, with a trip to Spurs pencilled in before and the visit of Fulham after. The draw for the knockout stage takes place on 18 December with the first fixtures taking place in February 2024.

Newcastle are among one of the lowest-ranked sides to currently qualify for the Champions League due to their lengthy absence from the competition, meaning Howe's men will likely be placed into pot four for the group stage draw. They will be joined by Union Berlin of Germany, RC Lens of France, Scottish champions Celtic and La Liga side Real Sociedad.
