Newcastle United chiefs are looking to make progress in the transfer market this week as they look to complete what would be deemed a successful January window.

Work has not stopped after the arrivals of New Zealand international Chris Wood and former Tottenham Hotspur star Kieran Trippier.

Chronicle Live understands that representatives and agents of a clutch of January targets were in the stands for the 1-1 draw against Watford - including key figures who aided United on their chase for Wood and Trippier.
