Newcastle fans will today be able to celebrate the club’s first major trophy in 70 years as their Carabao Cup trophy is paraded through the city.
Initial plans to mark the success did not include an open-top bus parade, but fan backlash will see the squad and manager Eddie Howe show off their new piece of silverware on a short route between St James' Park and Town Moor, before an event in the park.
