Newcastle to decide on Man United's Martin Dubravka offer
HITC carry a report from transfer guru Fabrizio Romano that Newcastle will make a final call on Manchester United's bid to sign Martin Dubravka.
United are understood to have offered to take Dubravka on loan for this season with the option to buy him next summer for £5million. Newcastle would prefer a permanent cash deal for Dubravka or at least a guarantee that United will buy him next summer.
The clubs have been at loggerheads over the deal and now Newcastle will decide if they will do business with the Reds or pull the plug on the transfer.
Leeds still not prepared to sell Jack Harrison
The Express claim Leeds are digging in their heels in the face of Newcastle's attempts to sign Jack Harrison.
Newcastle have had a couple of bids rejected and Leeds are determined to hang on to their in-form winger. Newcastle had hoped Leeds would do business if they could sign Wolves ' Hee Chan Hwang for £25million and the South Korean played under Whites boss Jesse Marsch at RB Leipzig.
But Leeds are not convinced by the deal and may stick with the forwards they have, which will kill off Newcastle's lingering hopes of landing Harrison.
Federico Fernandez could be set for Stoke loan move
The Shields Gazette claim Federico Fernandez could be offloaded on loan to Stoke before the transfer window closes on Thursday.
Fernandez, 33, has been one of the victims of Eddie Howe's Saudi revolution at St James' Park and he has played just twice under the Toon boss and not at all since December.
The Argentinian centre-half is in the final year of his Newcastle contract and new Stoke boss Alex Neil wants him to be his first signing. Neil wants to sign Fernandez on a season-long loan deal, which would effectively signal the end of his Newcastle career.
