Bruno Guimaraes has made a stunning start to life at Newcastle United, and it is this form which is said to have attracted the attention of La Liga giants Real Madrid. Spanish outlet AS claim the Brazil international has been lined up as a replacement should Manchester United seal a deal for Casemiro.
The report outlines that Newcastle would demand in excess of double the fee paid to Lyon to land the midfielder in January. Guimaraes has netted five times in 19 black-and-white appearances so far, and is expected to star for his country at the World Cup this winter.

Paqueta stance
Since the mid-season arrival of Guimaraes, Newcastle fans have been speculating over whether he could be joined at St James' Park by former Lyon team-mate Lucas Paqueta. The pair are good friends and star together for Brazil, with the attacking midfielder visiting the United fan favourite on Tyneside earlier this year.
Paqueta is reportedly available for around £33 million in the closing weeks of the window, and 90min claim the 24-year-old is 'open' to the prospect of a move to Newcastle. The Magpies are said to have cooled their interest in James Maddison after having two bids turned down by Leicester City.
