Newcastle United supporters have shared their frustrations with Manchester United's dire performance at fierce rivals Liverpool on Sunday with the Red Devils losing 7-0, just one week after beating the Magpies 2-0 in the League Cup final.
After a rather evenly contested opening, a goal from former United transfer target Cody Gakpo late in the first-half gave the Reds the lead before a calamitous display in the second half from the visitors saw the Dutchman add to his tally for the afternoon alongside braces for Mohamed Salah and Darwin Nunez as well as a seventh goal from Roberto Firmino.
Erik ten Hag's side had gone 12 matches unbeaten across all competitions but, to the frustration of Newcastle fans, ended that run one week after seeing off Eddie Howe's men at Wembley, with Liverpool jumping above the Magpies in the Premier League table.

Here is how some Newcastle fans reacted on Twitter.
@MagpieChannel_: "If only this result could’ve happened before the final! Sobering for the Man Utd players this, huge lift for Liverpool who overtake Newcastle in the table. Do you think #nufc can still get champions league?"
@NUFCLC: "I know it doesn’t benefit us at all this result but got to say Ten Hag was getting a bit too big for his boots making his mouth go about other clubs. Glad to see him humbled."
@nufcdave84: "As much as I didn’t want #LFC to win and replace us in the league table it’s lovely to see #MUFC taken down a peg or 7!!"
@ryandavid97: "Hope we play like that next month against them."
@nufc9ja: "I would happily take the cup and a 7-0 loss to city the following week, let's switch."
@chlcrk: "Where was this collapse from Manchester United last weekend?"
@DavidGHill1975: "Can we replay the cup final against this #mufc team?"
