Newcastle United will be without winger Anthony Gordon when they face Nottingham Forest at the City Ground tomorrow (Friday, March 17).
Gordon has been struggling with an ankle injury that has kept him out of action for Forest's upcoming opponents, with manager Eddie Howe giving an update in his pre-match press conference this week.
The former Everton winger might not be the only absentee as Newcastle face Forest, but Howe was keeping his cards close to his chest about other members of his squad.

"The scan wasn’t plain sailing, it wasn't a shoo-in. It wasn’t a week or two injury," Howe said, per ChronicleLive. "It’s slightly more serious than that, so we're doing everything we can to get him back as quickly as possible.
"At the moment he’s in a period where he’s staying off the grass, staying off his feet, and the injury’s healing. It feels good, but he’s got work to do to get ready for that game."
While not naming names, Howe also suggested Newcastle could be without other players for their trip to the East Midlands. He said: "We hope to have the majority available.”
