Vick Hope has shared her excitement at joining Countdown, in a sweet post on social media praising it was "the loveliest of times".
The Newcastle -born BBC Radio 1 presenter, 33, will star in the Channel 4 show all week as the celebrity guest in Dictionary Corner alongside lexicographer Susie Dent. Vick, who has also presented on the likes of The X Factor, the BAFTAs and Crufts as well as taking to the Strictly dancefloor back in 2018, was ecstatic to be joining the iconic series.
Vick, who grew up in Heaton, wrote on Instagram: "Aaaahhhh VICKTIONARY CORNER!!! So so SO excited to be joining the wonderful Countdown team on Channel 4 every afternoon this week at 2pm in Dictionary Corner!"

"The loveliest of times with the loveliest bunch, MAN I LOVE WORDS SO MUCH!" Vick added, sharing a series of photos from her time on Countdown including one of her posing in front of the famous clock with Dictionary Corner star Susie Dent and presenter Rachel Riley.
Several of Vick's famous friends were quick to congratulate the star on her new gig - including a few of her former Strictly co-stars. Pro dancer AJ Odudu said: "Amazing!!!! You're PERFECT for this. Congratulations Vick!"
Karen Harding wrote: "Bucket list! Go on lass." And Oti Mabuse added: "Brilliant, congratulations darling."
Vick recently made her Instagram followers envious after sharing sunny snaps from a trip around Australia, visiting the likes of Melbourne, the Gold Coast and Sydney. But Newcastle clearly wasn't far from the star's mind as she shared a picture of the Sydney Harbour Bridge, writing: "Guys I'm obsessed with this replica Tyne Bridge!"
