The Maldives, Mauritius, Thailand are just some of the dream destinations loved up couples jet off to after getting married. But one Newcastle couple have decided to go for an unconventional honeymoon - by cleaning toilets at this year's Glastonbury festival.
Chelsea Clarke and Jake Taylor, who are both doctors at the RVI, are volunteering for Water Aid's Loo Crew at the festival, after they tied the know last Friday. They have previously volunteered on the Loo Crew and are now back for more, ready to don a pair of rubber gloves to keep the facilities at the festival in top condition.
The couple met at university, not long after Chelsea came back from working on sanitation projects in Tanzania.

Jake said: "Chelsea started a conversion about toilets and how crazy it was that there’s still a lack of toilets around the world; straightaway I knew she was the one for me! Following this, the first Christmas present I ever got her was a toilet and a tippy-tap from WaterAid’s online shop", he said.
The couple love the Glastonbury atmosphere, with Chelsea saying working for the charity means she meets a lot of interesting festivalgoers along the way.
She added: “We love Glastonbury Festival’s atmosphere, there’s an endless list of things to do plus of course the music – I can’t wait to see Lizzo and Elton John - the Circus Field is incredible too, and we always relax in the Healing Fields. Our values really align with the festival and WaterAid’s focus on raising the profile of the climate crisis in terms of what we can do about it if we all join together.
“I love that when we’re working, we meet so many interesting people. The festivalgoers always ask plenty of questions, it enhances the whole experience for us. We share a laugh whilst at the same time, talk about something that matters to us.”
The couple's duties on the Loo Crew involve six-hour sanitation shifts, and they are two of 684 WaterAid volunteers on site at Glastonbury this year.
