Newcastle make transfer plan for Tottenham's Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg as fee emerges

Newcastle are planning a £30 million summer move for Tottenham hard man Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg.

Eddie Howe’s side have had a superb second half of the season, winning ten of their last 14 games in the last three months, and ending any fears of relegation from the Premier League in the process.

But the Magpies manager, who will be backed with transfer funds by the Saudi-Arabian-led consortium that owns Newcastle, is intent on further strengthening his squad in the summer with a number of key signings - and Tottenham midfielder Hojbjerg is high on his list of targets when the window opens.
