A unique Metaverse is waiting for festival-goers, enabling them to pay a virtual visit to the LooseFest site in Newcastle and find out all there is to know before the two-day music event launches this weekend.
An extraordinary new app means that people can see the layout of the huge festival site on the Town Moor - in 3D or VR - where more than 80 music acts will play to around 60,000 music fans this weekend, with Black Eyed Peas headlining on Saturday and Mabel on Sunday. And, as well as being entertaining, the opportunity to explore the whole set-up in advance is intended to prove a big help in pre-planning for what will be an incredibly busy event.
The invitation to enter the Metaverse means that before they turn up there in person, festival-goers can walk around the Newcastle site, familiarise themselves with the lay-out and see where the various stages are and find out who's playing and when.
