Newcastle United remain in fourth place in the table after the Magpies were frustrated by West Ham in a 1-1 draw at St James' Park.
Callum Wilson gave Newcastle a dream start after just three minutes, but West Ham recovered and equalised after the half-hour mark through Lucas Paqueta.
Here are five things we learned from the game.

Newcastle frustrated despite dream start
After such a momentous night, how would Newcastle respond against West Ham - just four days after reaching their first League Cup final in 47 years? This is what top clubs do, after all: win back-to-back games within just a few days of each other in different competitions.
Moyes quipped ahead of this game that he hoped Newcastle players had 'plenty' of Newcastle Brown Ale, but this group is experienced enough not to switch off because there is still so much at stake in the league. Callum Wilson even admitted it was 'a little bit flat' after the team photograph was taken in the dressing room following that win against Southampton because the players' focus immediately turned to West Ham.
Yet, after getting off to a dream start, following Wilson's opener, Newcastle failed to press home their advantage and allowed West Ham back into the game. A sloppy spell in the first-half ultimately proved costly after Paqueta equalised in the 32nd minute.
Perhaps it shows how far Newcastle have come that a draw against a side playing in Europe will have felt like a disappointing result on a night Howe's side set a new club record after going 16 top-flight games unbeaten.
Newcastle miss Bruno Guimaraes but have another solution
Bruno Guimaraes' first red card of his career could have come at a worse time for Newcastle. The Brazil international, after all, will be available for the Carabao Cup final later this month. Just.
However, Newcastle were still going to have to try and find a way to win three crucial league games without their talisman - starting against West Ham on Saturday. That was not going to be easy; Newcastle failed to win all three of their previous three top-flight fixtures they played this season without Bruno and that is not a coincidence.
Bruno brings so much to Newcastle's midfield - in and out of possession - and West Ham gained a foothold in the middle of the park after recovering from a nightmare start as Declan Rice's class told in the first half. Newcastle were better after the break, but the Magpies just did not look the same side without Bruno's guile.
Allan Saint-Maximin was given his chance in Bruno's absence, on a night where Joelinton moved into midfield, but the forward looked like a player who had not started a league game since August despite his best efforts to help his team-mates out defensively. Given how impressive Anthony Gordon was from the bench, you wonder whether Howe will stick with Saint-Maximin against Bournemouth next week or opt to give his new signing his first start after he has a proper run of training sessions.
Callum Wilson ends his drought
If there was one team you would have backed Callum Wilson to end his longest Newcastle goal drought against, it was West Ham. Wilson had scored nine goals in 11 top-flight appearances against the Hammers going into this game and the Newcastle number nine duly bagged his 10th after just three minutes on Saturday evening.
Newcastle won back possession from Lukasz Fabianski's goal kick before Sean Longstaff cut West Ham's defence open with a superb through ball to Wilson. The striker timed his run and raced clear one-on-one before coolly slotting the ball past Lukasz Fabianski. Wilson predicted before this game that he would score in the fourth minute and you would not have known that the confident England international had not scored since October.
To think Newcastle could have even been in front before then. However, Joe Willock's fine finish was disallowed after just 38 seconds following a VAR check after the ball crossed the line before Miguel Almiron cut it back to his team-mate. However, rather than getting frustrated by that decision, Newcastle roared forward again as Wilson fired the hosts in front.
Anthony Gordon offers a sign of things to come
Anthony Gordon will have already been itching to make his Newcastle debut, but the new arrival will have been desperate to get going after the reception he was given before the Magpies' semi-final win against Southampton on Tuesday night. Not only was Gordon applauded when he was presented to the crowd alongside fellow new signing Harrison Ashby; the 21-year-old even had his name sung by the Gallowgate End.
Given his lack of game time with the full group, perhaps, it was not a surprise that Gordon did not start but the forward was a welcome option from the bench when Newcastle were searching for a winner. Even the mere sight of Gordon getting his final instructions before coming on gave the crowd a huge lift before he replaced Allan Saint-Maximin in the 69th minute.
The new arrival quickly got supporters off their seats and provided the spark Newcastle sorely needed from the bench. Gordon tried to make things happen whenever he got on the ball; was tidy in possession and played in Callum Wilson just a few minutes after coming on only for the striker to be foiled by a superb recovery tackle by Nayef Aguerd. It felt like just a little glimpse of what is to come.
Lucas Paqueta ends Newcastle's defensive record
Lucas Paqueta scoring at St James' Park? That was a prospect some Newcastle fans were dreaming of last summer - only the Brazil international ending up finding the back of the net against the Magpies on Saturday night
Paqueta picked his moment to score his first goal from open play for West Ham while friend Bruno Guimaraes watched on from his box - and it was an uncharacteristically poor goal for Newcastle to concede in the 32nd minute. Declan Rice's corner somehow found its way to the back post and there was Paqueta, unmarked, to fire the visitors level as Newcastle conceded their first Premier League goal since November.
