Here are the top Newcastle United headlines for March 10.
Dubai training camp
Newcastle United are heading to the United Arab Emirates for a mid-season training camp later this month.
The Magpies will repeat a similar trip to the Middle East like last March when the club used the warm weather camp to prepare for the final clutch of Premier League games which led to a strong finish. The trip has been confirmed by the Dubai Sports Council and has been described as a behind closed doors trip.
As things stand there are no friendly matches scheduled on the trip unlike the December journey to Saudi Arabia. Last spring's trip to Dubai also saw Newcastle face Steven Taylor's Gulf United which proved to be an easy win in a practice match.

Bruno transfer latest
Eddie Howe wants the 'unique' Bruno Guimaraes to stay on Tyneside despite interest from Premier League rivals. The Brazilian continues to boast fan-favourite status at Newcastle United as attention turns to whether the Magpies can keep him away from some big-name suitors this summer and beyond.
Chronicle Live understands Newcastle have opened dialogue with the player and his representatives, while Guimaraes himself has been saying all the right things in the media of late. Bruno still has three years left on the £120,000 per week deal he signed last January.
However, Chelsea are the latest club interested in a deal for the former Lyon star, with new owner Todd Boehly still determined to splash the cash despite a whopping outlay in recent months. Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola also laid on the charm when speaking to Bruno during the Etihad clash last weekend.

Isak fitness admission
Eddie Howe says that £63million striker Alexander Isak is not ready to play a full match for Newcastle United.
The Sweden international spent the majority of the first half of the season on the sidelines with a thigh injury. And despite returning two months ago, Howe - who has came under scrutiny from some sections of supporters for not starting with Isak - has revealed he is not yet ready to cope with the rigours of 90 minutes of high octane action.
When asked if Isak will start against Wolverhampton Wanderers, Howe said: "He wants to play like every player, I'm sure. "I've not really had a huge long conversation about his about his game time at this moment in time, it simply has been about keeping him fit early on after his serious injury that he had. Building his confidence.

Liverpool spending suggestion
Eddie Howe is against Liverpool owner John Henry's call for further spending limits because the restrictions would prevent Newcastle United from 'improving as quickly as we want to'.
In an interview with our sister title, the Liverpool Echo, this week, Henry stated there should be additional limits on spending in the Premier League so the top-flight 'does not go the way of European leagues where one or two clubs annually have little competition'. Henry made his comments during a campaign where Liverpool have suffered defeats against Nottingham Forest, Brentford, Brighton, Wolves and others after finishing second with 92 points last season.
In fact, this has been an especially competitive season. Not only are Liverpool only a point clear of Newcastle in fifth place, having played a game more, but Arsenal are in pole position to win the title for the first time since 2004 while Fulham, Brighton and Brentford are all above Chelsea in the table at the moment.

Ashby injury
Newcastle United have been hit with another injury blow after Eddie Howe revealed January signing Harrison Ashby was in the treatment room.
The right-back - who came in from West Ham earlier this year - was paraded on the pitch ahead of the Southampton League Cup semi-final second leg along with Anthony Gordon. But he has yet to step on to the field of play for Newcastle since his switch from the London Stadium.

Kit rumour reaction
Newcastle United fans are split in their opinions on the rumoured home shirt for the 2023/24 season after an image surfaced online showing off what the Magpies could potentially walk out in for the next campaign.
The shirt, which was posted to numerous Facebook groups, has the traditional black-and-white stripes that the Toon have become synonymous with, while also adding a little extra.
A golden trim goes around a sharp collar while the shirt has a golden Adidas logo and a golden sponsor of Saudia Airlines across the chest along with a golden Premier League badge and other sponsors on the sleeves.
However, fans couldn't come to a collective agreement as to whether they liked or disliked the design, with some pointing out the collar while others argued they'd prefer a silver trim to the gold.
