A grieving couple have said they will never get over the agonising pain of losing their "miracle" baby boy who died just 50 minutes after being born.
After trying for a baby for nine years, the birth of Axwell Savcak should have been the happiest day of Vaida and Aleks Savcak's lives. But Vaida described leaving hospital without her newborn son as "heartbreaking".
Baby Axwell died at Newcastle's Royal Victoria Infirmary in April 2021. His pre-natal heart rate had suggested he was in distress, however hospital staff failed to identify concerns for two hours.
