Concerns have been raised that a Co Down town is being "used as a race track" as police revealed they issued eight speeding tickets in one night over the weekend.
Officers were out on patrol in Newcastle on Friday and Saturday night, with particular attention being paid to Donard Car Park and the Shimna Road in relation to anti-social driving and road safety.
Eight fixed penalty notices for speeding were issued on Saturday night alone, with each amounting to three points and a £60 fine.
