Newcastle United have confirmed their association will continue with Fun88 in a multi-year deal as the club edges ever closer to unveiling the most lucrative sponsorship deal in their history. The betting firm has been the Magpies' principal sponsor since 2017, but will now continue in the capacity of the club's official Asian betting partner from the 2023/2024 season onwards.
Newcastle were able to broker an early exit from their original agreement with Fun88 which was said to be worth less than £8 million per year. The company's logo had featured on the front of the club's kits and training wear for six seasons.
Fun88 will now operate as an official betting partner, with the club confirming the update on Monday along with a thank you message on social media. The news paves the way for a new principal sponsor, with ChronicleLive confirming last month the new agreement could be worth up to £25 million as a result of Eddie Howe's side qualifying for the Champions League.

A number of bidders were undestood to be vying for the contract, with chief executive officer Darren Eales confirming as much last year. The Magpies have accepted they will likely be locked into their current deal with kit manufacturers Castore until at least the 2025/26 season.
