Newcastle United all but secured their Premier League status for next season as a brace from Bruno Guimaraes inspired a comeback 2-1 win over Leicester City
After an opening to the match that was devoid of creativity, Leicester hit the front in the 19th minute. It's Newcastle who have been so strong at set-plays this season, and Leicester who have been so vulnerable from corners and free-kicks, but it was the hosts undone by a training ground routine as Lookman squeezed an effort through on goal after Ayoze Perez's flick.
Allan Saint-Maximin was almost through on goal in the 26th minute but his mazy run was thwarted by a last ditch challenge from Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall but Newcastle were level on the half hour mark.
Guimaraes forced Kasper Schmeichel into a save from close range but the Dane failed to grasp it and the Brazilian international forced the ball home at the second attempt. After disallowing the goal originally for a foul on the Foxes goalkeeper, referee Jared Gillett awarded the goal after consulting with VAR.
Newcastle took over from that point on and Chris Wood had appeals for a penalty waved away before he flashed a header wide from a Joelinton cross.
Both teams huffed and puffed in the second half but it took until the fourth minute of stoppage time for the Magpies to grab the decisive goal as a brilliant Joe Willock run and cross was met by the head of Guimaraes to send St James' Park into raptures.
Here's how Lee Ryder rated the players.

Martin Dubravka 8
Will be disappointed with Leicester's opener but held his nerve when it mattered to lay foundations for the win.
Emil Krafth 9
A steely display with seven crisp tackles and a host of interceptions.
Fabian Schar 8
Guided the defence through against a dangerous Leicester side. Newcastle must keep him next season.
Dan Burn 8
Put his heart and soul into it. Every touch of the ball means the world of him. Another superb display.
Matt Targett 9
The elegant left-back calmly controlled the game. Big hand in the winner.
Joelinton 8
Refused to throw the towel in. Newcastle's survival is largely down to his determination in midfield.
Bruno Guimaraes 10
His never say die attitude won the day. Two goals and some fantastic passing movement.
Jonjo Shelvey 8
Guided the team to another important win. Showing maturity under Howe as skipper.
Miguel Almiron 7
Work-rate was there for all to see but lacked quality end product. Taken off with 20 minutes left. Perhaps still lacking a bit of sharpness after long stint out of team.
Allan Saint-Maximin 6
Not his day but not through the want of trying.
Chris Wood 6
Battled hard and sent one header wide. Just 16 touches in all. A different approach in attack was deemed necessary by Howe.
Subs
Jacob Murphy 7 (for Almiron 69)
Gave Leicester something to think about.
Joe Willock 8 (for Wood 69)
Super sub does it again. This time with a fine assist.
Dwight Gayle (for Saint-Maximin 90)
Subs must play 15 minutes to get a mark.
