New Zealanders say Home Affairs appears to have fast-tracked 'redundant' $4,000 visas

New Zealanders in Australia have accused the Department of Home Affairs of a cash grab, saying their permanent visa applications appear to have been fast-tracked just months before it was announced they would not be required to become citizens.

From July 1, Kiwis on Special Category visas who have lived in Australia for the past four years can apply directly for citizenship without becoming permanent residents first.
