New Zealand to seek Cook Islands reset over China pact

The relationship between New Zealand and Cook Islands needs a reset, Deputy Prime Minister Winston Peters says, given the fallout from the Pacific nation's secret pact with China.

New Zealand was outraged to not be consulted as the Cook Islands negotiated a five-year action plan for a comprehensive strategic partnership with China, which it only released on Tuesday.
