
New York’s governer has attacked an “outrageous” Supreme Court ruling that makes it easier to carry hand guns in the state - and which has wider implications for the entire country.
After the Supreme Court - examining a case orginating in New York - ruled for the first time that the US Constitution protects an individual’s right to carry a handgun in public for self-defence, Governor Kathy Hochul said the decision was the decision was “outrageous”, particularly as it came at a time of “national reckoning on gun violence”.
