A New York City resident has tested positive for West Nile virus, the city's first human case of the year, and the number that gives the case its meaning is not the number one.
The Health Department announced Wednesday that the patient lives in the city and had spent time outdoors both here and at several locations outside the five boroughs. The department did not say where the infection occurred and released no details on the person's age or condition.
