A NEW campaign video has been launched by Yes campaigners setting out the arguments for independence.
The first in a new series called “People of Yes”, the video takes views from people in Glasgow who back independence.
Produced by Yes.Scot, a branch of the SNP, the video points out that decisions affecting Scotland are “taken in a palace in London” and viewers are told that independence would mean “the people who live, work and study in Scotland will shape any future Scotland”.
One speaker said: “It’s time to bring the decision-making process back into the hands of the people of Scotland.”

Another added: “It doesn’t matter whether you consider yourself Scottish, British, English or any other identity, Scottish independence is not about where you come from but it’s about where we’re all going, collectively, together.”
She continued: “Similar sized countries in north-west Europe are fairer, wealthier and much more happy than the UK.”
It comes after the campaign launched a video on Tuesday, the same day as the First Minister fired the starting gun on a new push for independence.
That video followed similar points to those made in the document launched by Nicola Sturgeon and Greens co-leader Patrick Harvie, which pointed out the ways in which the UK underperforms in comparison to other European countries.
The video released on Wednesday features broader arguments about why Scotland should become independent, including highlighting the democratic deficit experienced by Scottish voters who have little power to sway Westminster elections.
