After a busy Christmas and with money tight for a lot of households, many people will be opting to welcome in 2023 at home instead of an expensive night out.
Whether you’re marking the occasion with family or hosting a party for friends, a trip to the supermarket will usually be required.
With New Year’s Eve just around the corner, customers are being reminded to not leave their shopping too late, as many shops have altered their opening hours over the festive period.

Some will be closing earlier than usual on December 31, while others will shut completely on New Year’s Day.

Dunnes
Dunnes is a favourite for party essentials, and their New Year's opening hours will vary depending on the size and location of the store.
Many will close early, around 7pm, on New Year's Eve. Some will be closed New Year's Day, while other will open later and close earlier on January 1.
For example, Dunnes Stores in the Ilac Centre is closed on New Year’s Day, while Dunnes on South Great George's Street will open from 11am - 7pm.
