With the blockbuster trade already in the books, the Golden State Warriors officially welcomed Chris Paul to the Bay Area on Sunday afternoon with his introductory press conference.
While speaking to members of the media in Las Vegas, the veteran All-Star point guard revealed he’s already linked up with one of his new teammates with the Warriors. Paul said he worked out with his new backcourt mate Stephen Curry at the Warriors’ facility in Las Vegas on Sunday.
Paul said he thought it was the first time the duo worked out together since 2009, per Anthony Slater of The Athletic.

Early in the offseason, Paul was traded to the Warriors from the Washington Wizards in a blockbuster deal that featured Jordan Poole. Paul spent the last three seasons with the Phoenix Suns. In 59 games with the Suns, the 12-time All-Star averaged 13.9 points on 44% shooting from the field and 37.5% from beyond the arc with 8.9 assists and 4.3 rebounds in 32 minutes per game.
Following Paul’s introductory, the pair of Golden State guards were in the building for the Summer League in Las Vegas. Curry and Paul were seen courtside for the Warriors Summer League contest against the New Orleans Pelicans.
