A temple of Lord Venkateswara will soon come up at Navi Mumbai, which will be a new landmark for the devout of Maharashtra.
On the auspicious Gudi Padwa, the Marathi New Year’s Day, the Shiv Sena government allocated an undisclosed extent of land at Ulwe in Navi Mumbai for the construction of a temple, which is expected to be an exact replica of the Tirumala shrine.
TTD Trust Board Chairman Y.V. Subba Reddy and board member Milind Navrekar, who were instrumental in securing the land for the temple, thanked Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray for the decision. The final approval for the land is expected to be accorded by the government soon.
