New unique indoor electric go-karting attraction to open in Leeds city centre featuring huge art installations

A new electric go-karting attraction is launching in Leeds city centre.

Finishing touches are being made to Drift Stop which will create 12 jobs. Andreas Aristotelous is behind the new venture which will see karts compete on a purpose-built e-drift track.

Andreas said: “I am thrilled that the Drift Stop vision to deliver a fun and affordable, fully immersive, audio, visual, sports and gaming entertainment venue in the heart of Leeds is now becoming a reality. One of the best graffiti artists in the business, Andy Parle has transformed the space with huge art installations that are set to assault the senses as guests drift around the track.

“We are confident the unique karting experience, combined with nostalgic tech and gameplay, will prove popular with all ages and be a fantastic addition to the city’s Arena Quarter.”

The Leeds venue will also include arcade games offering a mix of classic and modern options from Ferrari Twin, Sega Rally, Street Fighter and more. The venue will cater for private parties with entertainment on offer for children, aged over four, to adults.

You can also enjoy food and drink at Drift Stop. We’ll bring you more about the new opening when we have further details. You can find out more by visiting the Merrion Centre’s website.
